Printago automates the stretch between an order landing and a printer starting.
Printago is the strongest fit for a farm that sells through a store and runs more than one brand of machine, because the work it removes is the file juggling between an order and a job. The free tier is a working tier rather than a demo, and the price follows how many jobs run at once instead of how many printers are plugged in. A farm that prints for itself, or one that already knows which machine takes which file, is buying automation for a problem it does not have.
Not for you if you have one machine and no store feeding it orders. The intake has nothing to sort and the router has nothing to choose between.
How Printago scored
Why trust these scores: the overall 4.4 weights these five at 25% order-to-print automation, 25% printer and fleet support, 20% queue and floor control, 15% price and value and 15% terms and data. Printer and fleet support carries the same weight as the automation because a farm cannot change the machines it already owns, and a platform that will not talk to them is not a candidate however good its queue is. Four of the five read straight off pages the company publishes: the supported models and the bridge requirement from the compatibility matrix, the slot rates and the trial from the plan calculator, and the arbitration and liability positions from the agreement itself. The fifth, queue and floor control, is where judgement enters, because the routing rules are described in prose rather than put through a published benchmark, so that figure follows how the rules are written and what the profiles claim each printer can be sent. How we rated Printago
Printago publishes the fleet it can drive, the unit it bills in and the path an order takes to a printer, and those pages are what the five scores below are drawn from. No farm of ours was wired up for any of it, so nothing here is a reading taken off a machine we ran. The weighting leans on the two things a buyer cannot change later: which printers the platform will talk to, and how the work gets in the door. Order-to-print automation
This is the part Printago is built around, and the chain is set out on the company’s own pages: an order arrives from a connected store, the line item is matched to a part or a SKU, the job is sliced, and it is routed to a machine that can run it, with production status sent back to the shop. Where a product is personalised, a script written in OpenSCAD, CadQuery or build123d generates the model for that order before slicing, so a customer typing a name into a product page does not become a file somebody makes by hand. A public API of more than three hundred endpoints and a real-time event stream sit under the same surface, for an operation that wants to drive its own queue from its own tools.
The store list is not the same on every page the company publishes. The feature list puts eBay and TikTok at a later date, while the questions on the same site describe a native TikTok Shop connection, and the privacy policy sets out what that connection reads from a shop: order details with the buyer name and shipping country, and no phone number or postcode kept. Which of the two positions the company is standing behind is not stated in either place.
4.5 for an unbroken line from a store order to a sliced job on a named printer, with the reservation that the channel list differs between the pages the company publishes and no order volume or sync interval is stated anywhere.
Printer and fleet support
The compatibility matrix claims more than 324 printer models across dozens of brands, and it holds together as one fleet rather than one list per vendor: Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, Snapmaker and Elegoo sit beside any machine running Klipper or Moonraker. Bambu printers on the cloud connect directly with nothing installed, and everything else reaches Printago through a free bridge the company calls Fuse, which runs on a Windows or Mac machine, a Docker host, a Raspberry Pi or a NAS the operator already owns. Printers can also be kept off the public internet and talked to over the local network, and a camera that did not ship with a printer can be pointed at one over RTSP.
Two dependencies come with that reach. A cloud-connected Bambu printer is reached through the manufacturer cloud rather than through a path Printago owns, and every bridged printer needs the machine running the bridge to stay up. Capability still decides what can be sent where, since nozzle, bed type and loaded material settle which machines are eligible before the router ever sees the job.
4.6, the strongest single figure in this review, held off a perfect mark only because one brand’s machines ride that brand’s cloud and the rest depend on a bridge host staying alive.
Queue and floor control
The queue engine, which the company writes as Gutenb3d, matches a job to a printer by material, capability and whatever rules the farm has set, so a part that needs a particular filament only goes to a machine holding it. Jobs can be tagged to a room, a project or a printer group, given a priority that lets rush work jump ahead, and reordered by hand. Plate merging combines several parts into one build, slicing happens on demand once a job is matched, and a failed print can be retried in a single click.
What makes an overnight run realistic is the bed clearing: FabMatic ends a print with custom g-code that walks the finished part off the plate, then starts the next job in the queue, and it is included on every plan rather than sold as an extra. Around that sit cameras with peer-to-peer streaming and a relay fallback, timelapses stitched into a video and attached to the job, a phone app that can pause, resume or stop a print, settings applied across dozens of printers at once, and a maintenance tracker that schedules service by print hours, calendar days or job count.
The dispatch path is the cloud service. A print already running lives on the printer and finishes whatever happens to the connection, but the next job in the queue has nothing to send it until the link is back. Bed clearing also depends on the printer and its profile supporting the end g-code the farm sets up.

Price and value
Printago does not charge per printer. The free tier carries unlimited printers, one production slot, 5GB of storage, cloud slicing and community support, and a new account gets a fourteen-day trial of additional slots. Beyond that a slot costs $4 a month on the monthly rate and $3.67 a month on the annual rate, which the calculator shows as a saving of $4 a slot a year, and the self-serve slider runs to fifty slots. Team members are free at every tier and come with roles for operators and viewers.
The unit is the part that needs translating before it means anything: a slot is a job running at once, not a machine, so a farm with twenty printers and four jobs in flight pays for four. Used well, that is cheap, and the company says so plainly. What a buyer will not find is a credit for a slot that sat idle, since fees are not refundable for a partial period or for capacity left unused, and the paid tiers add a private channel with the team rather than a published service level.

Terms and data
The agreement runs between the buyer and Printago Inc., a Pennsylvania corporation, and it is governed by Pennsylvania law. A dispute goes to binding arbitration through the American Arbitration Association, seated in Schuylkill County, with a waiver of jury trial and of any class or collective proceeding, and there is no window in which a buyer can opt out of that clause after signing up. Claims over intellectual property can still go to court.
The service is sold as is, and two provisions are worth reading before the free tier is outgrown. The company states that it is not responsible for the outcome, safety or quality of any physical print, and its liability section runs to a sentence disclaiming indirect damages, data loss and service interruptions, which is worth weighing for a service whose job is to hold a farm’s models and order book. Fees are not refunded for a partial billing period or unused capacity, and the account can be suspended or closed at the discretion of the company without prior notice.
On content, the duty sits with the operator. The buyer is the one responsible for whether a model is lawful where it is printed, and the company states that it does not scan, monitor or review uploaded files, which keeps a farm’s designs out of anyone else’s review while leaving the compliance question at the place the printing happens.
4.0, a low figure for this group, driven by terms that leave a buyer no way out of arbitration once signed and disclaim the loss of the very data the service is trusted with.
Who Printago is for
The farm this fits has a store on one side and a mixed fleet on the other, and has reached the point where turning orders into jobs is the thing eating the day. The company puts that moment somewhere between three printers and ten, and the shape of the product agrees with it: the intake, the slicing and the routing are the parts that pay for themselves as soon as more than one machine can take the work.
The farm it does not fit prints for itself or for a single client, has one machine, or already knows which file goes to which printer, since none of the chain above does much on an order a week. A farm still below that line is paying for a pipeline it has not filled yet.

Our verdict
The decision worth making here is made before a card is entered, and the free tier is where to make it. The comparison to run is narrower than the feature list suggests: connect the store this farm actually sells on to the printers it actually owns, push one real order through to a finished part, and the answer arrives at no cost. Beyond that the software stops at the edge of the machine, where filament still has to be loaded and the part that comes off the plate still has to be packed and shipped by someone.
Not for you if you need the models and the order book on hardware inside your own building. The hosted edition lives in the United States on the company cloud, and only the self-hosted route moves it behind your own walls.
