The vacuum without the ecosystem, and the floor size it suits.
Buy this one if you want the vacuuming done without a phone, a network or a dock in the corner: it arrives, charges on a base, and starts itself from a schedule you set on the remote. The price of that is a machine with no sense of the room it is in, so each run is a wander rather than a map, and a 2,000Pa ceiling that does not change with what is under it.
Not for you if you want a floor plan you can name rooms in, or an app that shows where the robot has been.
How eufy RoboVac 11S Max scored
Why trust these scores: Each score above is read from a page eufy publishes, and the ones no page can evidence are marked down and explained rather than estimated. Navigation gets 3.6 because a machine carrying neither a map nor an app has less to judge than one with them, and noise gets 4.0 because 55dB is printed with no mode and no distance beside it, so it will not sit next to a rival's number. No vendor can pay for a score. Read how we rate.
What we like
- No app to install, no network and no account stand between the box and the first run
- BoostIQ raises suction on its own, so a rug does not need a mode change before the run
- A 0.6L dust box with no bag to replace, so nothing is consumed except power
- At 72.5mm it passes under furniture a taller machine will not reach, and the climbing height is published rather than left to guesswork
- A timer on the remote keeps the floor done on a schedule nobody has to run
Watch out for
- Suction tops out at 2,000Pa and no measurement standard is named, so the strongest setting is a claim rather than a checked figure
- With no map and no app, there is no way to send the machine to a single room
- Boosting to Max cuts the run to about 40 minutes, so a large floor is finished across two charges
- Charging takes five to six hours, which is most of an afternoon off the floor
- The schedule lives in the remote, so taking the batteries out wipes it
- No filter grade is published, so a buyer replacing the filter has nothing to match against
How we rated the eufy RoboVac 11S Max
This review is assembled from what eufy publishes for the 11S Max: the product page itself, the comparison table that sets the model against the rest of the RoboVac range, and the FAQ sitting under the listing. Where eufy says nothing, this review says nothing either, rather than borrowing a number from a reseller’s listing. ElevenReview does not run hands-on tests. The pages behind every figure here are listed at the end of this article.
Carpet & rugs
eufy rates the 11S Max at 2,000Pa, with no measurement standard named beside it, so the figure is one to weigh rather than one to check. The machine does carry an automatic reaction to a surface change: BoostIQ raises suction when it meets more resistance, it ships switched on, and the remote display shows when it has stepped up. That is the behaviour a rug owner wants, since the boost arrives without anyone opening an app. The ceiling is what tempers the score. 2,000Pa is the rating on the strongest setting, and the level the machine holds on a normal pass is not published.
Hardwood & edges
Hard flooring is this machine’s ground. At 72.5mm it clears the gap under most sofas and beds, and eufy publishes a climbing threshold of 0.63 in, which is the figure a buyer needs for a threshold strip or a rug edge and the one several makers leave off the page. The three-piece cleaning system described by eufy pairs a rolling brush with a side brush for the skirting, and the 100-minute run is quoted in Standard mode on hardwood, so the headline runtime is the hard-floor runtime. What is not stated is how far the side brush reaches or how much of a corner the roller gets, so an edge-heavy room is judged from the shape of the machine rather than from a figure.
Pet hair pickup
This is the criterion where eufy’s page is thinnest. The three-piece cleaning system is named, but no brush material is given and no claim about hair tangling is made, so the case for a shedding animal rests on the suction and on BoostIQ rather than on a design stated to resist hair. A 2,000Pa rating is modest for the job, and a roll that is not described as rubber is the kind hair winds around. Treat the result as a floor that gets a daily pass rather than one that is clear of hair after every run, and budget for clearing the brush between runs.
Navigation and controls
There is no map here, and no app to read one in. The 11S Max works a room by moving until it has covered it, which eufy does not describe as a floor plan and which no page calls smart mapping. The comparison table is explicit about the rest: the Wi-Fi and voice-control rows are blank for this model, so Alexa and Google Home are out, and the whole interface is the infrared remote that comes in the box, whose display shows the mode the boost has reached. Scheduling is set on that remote, and the FAQ notes that taking the batteries out clears it. For a flat where the machine is started and left to it, that is a light system to own. For a house where rooms are named and the robot is sent to one of them, it is not.
Noise
eufy prints a sound figure of 55dB, and it arrives with neither the mode nor the distance it was measured at. Both omissions matter on this machine in particular, because BoostIQ changes the motor speed within a single run, so the same vacuum makes two different noises without the reader knowing which one the number describes. A number missing its conditions is not one that can be set against another maker’s, and that is what keeps this score off the top of the range. As the maker’s own claim it is still useful, and for a flat with a neighbour below it is the first line a buyer looks for.
Value and running costs
At $279.99 the 11S Max buys the vacuuming without the ecosystem around it. What is left out of the box is what keeps the running cost near zero: there is no dock, so no dustbags are consumed, and the 0.6L dust box is the one part you empty, into a bin, by hand. The parts that do wear are the filter and the brushes, and because no filter grade is published on the product page, a replacement is matched to the model number rather than to a rating. The 12-month warranty is stated on the page. Set against a machine that arrives with a dock, the money saved is a dock’s worth, and the labour is a bin you tip yourself a few times a week.
Runtime, charging and the bin
- The run is quoted at up to 100 minutes in Standard on hardwood, about 60 minutes with BoostIQ active and about 40 minutes in Max, so the figure that matches a normal pass sits between the top two.
- A charge takes five to six hours on the supplied adapter, which is a morning or an afternoon off the floor.
- The dust box holds 0.6L and is emptied by hand; no dock and no bag are involved at any point.
- The box contains the RoboVac 11S Max, the remote with two AAA batteries, the charging base, an AC adapter, a cleaning tool, one spare side brush and the manual.
Who the eufy RoboVac 11S Max is for
One level of hard flooring with a couple of rugs, in a flat or a small house, where nobody wants an app, a login or a corner of the kitchen given up to a dock. It suits a first robot vacuum, a rented flat, or a second machine kept upstairs, and it suits a home where the vacuuming has to happen on a timer without anyone thinking about it. It does not suit a two-storey house run from one base, or a room where the carpet is deep enough to bog the machine down.

Our verdict
For a flat's worth of hard floor and a rug in each room, the 11S Max is the least demanding machine of its kind: nothing to pair, nothing to install, and nothing to empty into a bag you have to buy again. The limits show up when the job grows. It has no map to fall back on, the charge takes most of an afternoon, and on deep pile the run ends with the carpet unfinished.
Not for you if your home is on two floors or the carpet is thick. A run that outlasts the charge stops with the floor half done, and a machine that draws a map of the house is the one built for that.
